The Dream
Hi, my name is Gina. I am the founder of ThisThatOther. For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for the arts. I enjoy everything from tangible art to performance art. For several years my free time was spent buying and selling at local flea markets. Searching for retro and vintage items to refurbish and repurpose or finding an antique that shouts “I have a story to tell “ brings a feeling of excitement that is hard to put words to. Sharing both of my passions seemed like the most logical next step. For the past 25 or so years ThisThatOther has been in the dreaming, wishing, planning stage. When the opportunity arose to make ThisThatOther a reality, I jumped at the chance. The vision for ThisThatOther has undergone some minor changes over the years. My final vision was brought to life on February 11, 2025. Welcome to my vision. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
The Journey
Founded with a vision to bridge the gap between artisans and the community, This That Other began as a humble initiative to showcase the diverse talents of local creators. Our shop is a testament to the beauty of handmade goods, offering a curated selection of unique items crafted with love and precision. My love for vintage is apparent throughout the store too. From our early days, we have been committed to supporting artisans by providing them a platform to share their work and connect with those who appreciate the art of handmade creations.
The Mission
At This That Other, our mission is to champion the work of local artisans and highlight the significance of handmade goods in today’s world. We believe in the power of craftsmanship to bring communities together and enrich lives. By promoting sustainable practices and fostering a supportive environment for creators, we aim to inspire a deeper appreciation for the artistry and dedication that goes into every handmade item. Join us in celebrating the creativity and skill of our talented artisans, and discover the unique stories behind each piece.
Building Community Connections
At This That Other, we believe in the power of community. Our mission is to create a vibrant space where artisans and customers can connect and share their stories. We host regular events that bring people together, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging the exchange of ideas. By supporting local artisans, we not only offer unique, handmade products but also contribute to the growth and sustainability of our community. Join us in celebrating creativity and craftsmanship, and become a part of our thriving community.
